Episode 44: Mama I made it….out of Astoria

Talk Sex with Dick podcast episode 44

In this episode of Talk Sex With Dick, Sex Therapist Dr. Richard Mills and Asa Scott talk about what it means to make it in New York, moving out of Astoria, love, relationships, Meghan and Harry, and new beginnings.

Feeling the Spirit of Wendy Williams, Asa decided to take a stab at producing today’s episode.

In an apartment packed to the ceiling with boxes – they discuss living in New York, and what it means to “make it.”

Spending one of the last nights in Astoria…

Richard reflects on his days living in Astoria, Queens. Upon conclusion, they both agree they will not miss the above-ground train that has been heard in many of the episodes.

Discussing where he has lived, in many parts of New York – one of the most memorable experiences, is when he rented an apartment in Brooklyn that didn’t exist.

What’s love got to do with it…

Richard discussed the importance of couples therapy – and how all couples should be in therapy from the beginning.  Being in couples therapy doesn’t mean that there is something wrong with the relationship, rather investing in the relationship and addressing life together before the problems arise.

Looking at the concept of the Pink Cloud – Richard discusses how that’s not a reality, that the majority of relationships are boring  However, the excitement can be found in the settle moments.

Meghan and Harry…

In a recent tell-all interview with Oprah for a revealing interview, Asa and Richard discuss their thoughts on the Megh-exit from the Royal family.

Spilling the tea – Asa shares her thoughts about what this means for Meghan and Harry. Discussing racism that is present in the Royal Family – as is evident in the tabloids.

And other stuff…
