Some important questions to ask your insurance provider:

  • Does my plan have an annual deductible for in-network mental health benefits? If so, how much?
  • How many visits will my plan cover per year?
  • How much is my co-payment for mental health services?
  • What is the policy year (i.e. Jan 1 – Dec 31)?
  • Does my plan require pre-authorization for psychotherapy?

Yes, you can! Out of Network benefits are a great way to cover a large percentage of the cost of therapy.

Many of our clients use their Out of Network benefits to pay for therapy. They even find they can be reimbursed for a large portion of the cost.

You may have OON benefits and not even know about it!

After each session, we will submit the Out of Network  claim to your insurance on your behalf.

We understand life gets hectic, and sometimes things are out of your control (i.e., the kid threw up, you get called into a meeting).

Not to worry, we will try to reschedule your appointment within the week to avoid a cancellation fee.

A credit card will be kept on file when filling out your intake paperwork.

You have 48 hours to cancel your appointment. If not, you will be charged the full session fee.

Please know that you cannot seek reimbursement from insurance for cancellation fees.

We hate implementing this policy – so please, please, please communicate with us if you need to cancel.

Here at Laike Rising Therapy, we provide a FREE 15 consultation. The consultation is where we get to know each other and see if it’s a good fit.

Like any other relationship, this one must be a perfect fit. For this purpose, we provide the consultation where we will get to know you, get curious about your life, and find out the best way to move forward.

It’s not that fancy – instead, the journey we’ve taken allows us to help you move forward and get unstuck. Knowledge is power, and the more tools we have, the better.

Eventually, there will come a time when we will break up!

We know this is sad, but, hey, all good things eventually come to an end!

The length and frequency of therapy are complete to you.

You will know when it’s the time!

Often, we notice clients move from a weekly to every-other-week structure and eventually decide to end therapy altogether. If you begin to feel this way, let us know; and we can start the process of completing treatment!

Well, the question should be, “Do I want to lie on the couch?”

The concept of laying on the couch is an old Freudian approach, but this doesn’t mean we won’t occasionally close our eyes, take some deep breaths, relax, and learn new ways to manage our stress and anxiety.

You should feel relaxed but, most importantly, welcome.

Oddly, clients are expected to share profound aspects of their life, all while the therapist isn’t willing to share the small parts of themself.

Let’s make a deal – we will only share things about our own life in the event we believe it would benefit you therapeutically.

If you ask a personal question and do not feel it would be beneficial, we won’t answer!
