Substance Abuse Therapy
You're more than your struggles.
You've likely tried to stop before, more than once. You're not alone in this, and you're not defined by it.

At Laike Rising Therapy, we don't see you as an "addict." We see you as a person who has developed coping mechanisms that are no longer serving you.
Change starts with you, and we're here to walk alongside you on this journey.
You're Not Broken, You're Human
Substance use often begins as a solution to underlying pain. We help you understand the "why," not just the behavior.
Anxiety, Depression, or Trauma
Substances can feel like the only thing that quiets a mind that won't slow down.
Relationship Difficulties
Conflict, loneliness, or disconnection can make relief feel worth chasing anywhere you can find it.
Work or Life Stress
When the pressure never lets up, substances can start to feel like the only way to exhale.
Numbing Emotional Pain
Sometimes the goal isn't a high, it's just not feeling anything at all for a while.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have hit "rock bottom" to start therapy?
No. The best time to start is now, wherever you are in your journey. You don't have to wait for things to get worse.
Is this confidential?
Yes, completely. What you share stays protected the same way any therapy conversation is.
Do you help with detox or withdrawal?
We provide therapy, not medical detox. If medical withdrawal support is needed, we'll help connect you with the right medical provider alongside our work together.
Is this different from AA or a 12-step program?
Yes, though the two can absolutely work together. Therapy here focuses on the individual root causes and patterns underneath your substance use, one-on-one, rather than a group step program.
What if I relapse during treatment?
Relapse is part of recovery, not a failure of it. If setbacks happen, we work through them together and adjust the plan as needed.
Can you address anxiety or depression alongside substance use?
Yes. Co-occurring anxiety, depression, or trauma are treated simultaneously, since they're often deeply connected to the substance use itself.
Do I need to involve my family?
Not necessarily. Individual therapy is highly effective on its own. If repairing family relationships becomes a goal, we can address that as part of the work too.
You are the one in control.
You're not your substance use. You're a person with inherent worth who deserves support, compassion, and the chance to heal.
