KAP Therapy in Indianapolis, New York City, and Online Nationwide
K
AP therapy, short for Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, combines the therapeutic use of ketamine with structured psychotherapy sessions.
At low, medically supervised doses, ketamine can temporarily soften the defenses and rigid thought patterns that sometimes keep talk therapy from reaching what actually needs to change. It's not a shortcut, and it's not a replacement for the therapeutic relationship. It's a tool that can open a window, one your therapist helps you make sense of, before and after. Every session is guided by a trained clinician from start to finish, so you're never navigating the experience alone.
For many people who feel stuck despite years of therapy, that window can be the difference.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you specially trained in KAP therapy?
Yes. This is a specialized skill, not an add-on to regular talk therapy. Our KAP training is completed through Fluence, a leading provider of psychedelic-assisted therapy education, so you can trust that the therapist guiding your sessions has been specifically trained in this modality. That said, it's not appropriate for everyone. A thorough screening comes first, always.
Who is this treatment not appropriate for?
It's generally not recommended for individuals with a history of psychosis, mania, or certain uncontrolled cardiovascular conditions. A full medical and psychiatric screening happens before any dosing session to make sure it's a safe fit.
How many sessions does it typically take?
This varies by person, but a typical course often includes several dosing sessions paired with preparation and integration therapy around each one. We'll build a plan specific to your goals.
Is KAP therapy covered by insurance?
This treatment and the associated medical costs are typically not covered directly by insurance, though sessions may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. We can provide superbills to support that process.
